Who
needs this?
Our
research has shown us that effective recruiting
and retention within the school system fell down
at two specific places. The first was at the onset,
from the time that an application is received.
The question becomes how long from the time that
an application comes in, does it take for someone
from Human Resources to get back to them?
The
second area was at the school level. Since 80%
of a hire is personality match, often if the principal
liked them they were hired. Not taking into account
the fact the personality of the student population,
the other educators, and the parents, is a common
mistake. Of the teachers hired within the last
five years, what is your turnover rate?
Who
attends?
Everyone
involved in the process of hiring, from the top
down. This means school board members, the superintendent,
Human Resources, Assistant Superintendents, Principals,
and Assistant Principals.
