E Squared was started by a group of ex IT Headhunters. If you are unfamiliar with the term headhunter, that is someone who is retained by a company to find an individual with a specific skill set, in addition to the interpersonal skills necessary to compliment the current team.

What we learned is that people don’t move for money. Money is the excuse, but it is never the reason. They move for two primary reasons which are to gain a new skill or a new level of responsibility. If one or both of those things are not there, it makes no sense to go and do the same thing for more money. In a world where technology and information changes at light speed, it is imperative that to ensure that candidates meet long term career objectives that they are adding to their repertoire.

Our years of volunteering in our children’s schools allowed us to understand that since educators had never been recruited, or given much thought to managing their careers, that they left the profession because they thought that each school or school system operated in the same manner as where they were at. We knew that this simply was not true.

E Squared is about Empowering Educators, be it the teacher or the school system, in understanding what you need and what you have to offer.
